Mr & Mrs Negan {Halloween Edition}

"Biter Sweater": H&M | Faux Leather Skinnies: Nordstrom | Red Plaid Shirt: H&M (I love that its long! Will be showing this shirt again soon!) | Over The Knee Boots: Nordstrom (Similar linked)

I was soo excited to share these photos with you all! Antonio and I are huge Walking Dead fans and couldn't wait for the new season to start! Our favorite new villain that we can't help but love is Negan. My husband already had Negan's entire outfit in his closet just minus the red scarf, so it was a very easy look to replicate. My look just came together naturally. If Negan had a wife, I picture her being equally as bad ass, with an attitude and some sex appeal. She takes nothing from no one, being her man's right hand lady to help conquer the world!

This was such a fun shoot to do! I hope you love our photos as much as we do!

Have a great Halloween!

Our Wedding 9/17/2016 + A Personal Story

Hi Guys!! I'm back! Remember me?

When I say its been a crazy whirlwind of life events the last few months, I mean it. I didn't intend to take such a long break from blogging, but sometimes things happen in life that we need to just focus on what truly matters, and to me that is family.

My husband Antonio and I have been together for a little over two years now. I'll give you a little bit of a back story! We have actually known each other since we were about 10 years old. Our first encounter was on a school bus ride home in the fifth grade where I slapped him a crossed the face for making fun of me. (If you follow me on snap chat, EricaSerrano you'll see our 5th grade shenanigans graduated to full on prank wars). We both remained in the same town and graduated from the same high school, only acknowledging each other briefly every few years. We both went into different directions, having children and getting married. Long story short, we both ended up going through divorces at the same time, so we became one another's shoulder to lean on. He has two children and so do I. With many things in common, we formed a strong bond which than turned into a romance. Fast forward two and a half years and here we are, a new family of 6! We made it official and got married on September 17th, with a small intimate ceremony with our children and parents. It was the most perfect day!

I don't share much of my personal life on here but I feel my lack of blogging deserves an honest explanation. So many of you have reached out to me privately with questions or well wishes that I only thought it was right to finally open up and address some concerns.

This past summer, Antonio and I found out that we were expecting our first child together. We discussed having a child for many months before we finally conceived, so we were thrilled to finally get that positive sign. During that time however, we were dealing with just about everything designed to separate a couple. I can't elaborate on that subject unfortunately but do to the emotional stress I endured, Antonio and I suffered a miscarriage late on a friday night. We spent all night in the emergency room and two days locked in our room, secluded from the world. I couldn't face anyone and all I could do was cry. We were both devastated. It was from there that I decided I needed a break. I couldn't imagine planning out outfits and getting in front of a camera. It almost felt wrong. I decided to just focus solely on our family and take a break. It was exactly what I needed.

I found this quote and it stuck with me.

When we were planning our wedding, our first venue fell through two weeks before we got married, leaving us to quickly search for a new one. The night we went to check out our final location, a random rainbow shined a crossed the sky just above where we would be saying our I do's. It was in that moment,  I felt a sense of calmness as I was being reassured that everything that had happened to us, happened for a reason and because of those things, we are now stronger than ever. We were made for each other and made to conquer all life's hardships together. I know with all my heart that I have found my ever after, my sunshine after rain.

To those of you who have been following, I deeply thank you from the bottom of my heart!  To any new readers today, I appreciate your visit and hope you come back!
