Happy Thursday! I hope everyone's week is going well!

Today, I am bringing back the flares for a little 70's vibe. I've been a lover of the flare jean for years now, even when it wasn't considered cool. This fall, I am predicting that you will see a lot of them popping up and perhaps they will even dominate the skinny jean. (Although the skinny jean won't be disappearing anytime soon). I just love the fact that the flare jean is suitable for all body types and can show off your natural curves flawlessly. They also have the most slimming effect more than any other jean and have the ability to make your legs look miles long. What girl wouldn't want those results?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Welcome! I hope you all had a nice weekend!! I spent most of mine with family as we celebrated my mom's birthday on Saturday. We had a big family dinner and it was so nice to sit back and relax and enjoy a few laughs with family members. A perfect night in, if you ask me!

Fall is just around the corner and I just can't contain my excitement! It's my favorite clothing season by a long shot! I've already started to add some amazing fall pieces to my closet and this trench is one of them. I am crazy in love with this piece!!  It's so chic and sophisticated and will surely be a major staple in my closet. Ann Taylor lists it as a dress, but it can easily be worn as a coat, which will be the look I will get most use out of. I can't wait to throw this baby on with a pair of distressed jeans and some ankle booties! Bring on the fall weather!

Thanks for stopping by!

I've been on a mix matching kick lately. (Shirt last seen here, shorts here). Partly because summer is almost over and I refuse to buy anything new, but I honestly just love to find new and interesting ways to wear some of my favorite pieces.  I adore these high waisted striped shorts and have worn them countless times on and off the blog. For today, I decided to double up and do a mix of vertical and horizontal stripes. I just love the mixture and how it created such a chic and streamlined look.

What have been some of your go-to pieces this season?

Thanks for visiting!!

Asymmetrical

Cream Leather Jacket: Collection B (old) similar here | Asymmetrical Hem Dress: Express | Grey Cut Out Booties: BCBGeneration | Lucite Clutch: BCBG Maxazria (sold out) similar here and here | Ring: Forever21

Last week, I did a mini shopping spree at Express (you can see the rest of my haul here) and while browsing around, I came across this cut in cami dress. I'm not a big fan of skin tight dresses but I decided to take a chance on this one since the material is super soft and has a lined bodice. It definitely makes the dress easier to wear while giving it more stability. I also love its ability to be dressed up or down although, I prefer it's dressed down nature by adding a cream colored leather jacket and matching grey booties. I really like how this outfit came together, while proving to be chic and edgy with a hint of sophistication.

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I spent mine getting my son ready for a trip to Disney World with his Grandmom! Every few years my mom likes to do something extra special with her grandchildren, so this year she decided to take Rowan to Disney all by himself! It'll be his first time away from home and although I know he will have the time of his life, I will miss him so much! Thank goodness for face time because I requested lots of them lol!

How amazingly chic is this leather and knit sweatshirt by Halogen? It was one of my favorite finds from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I just couldn't wait to wear it. The nights here the past few days have been quite chilly, so this top is perfect for those types of nights. I love it because it has that edgy, yet sophisticated style and can go great with a pair of jeans as well as skirts and dress pants. I also can't say no to leather, especially since this shirt exhibits style and comfort.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Today, I want to share one of the top trends for fall 2014, which actually is a continuation from what we saw this past spring. Yes, I’m talking about fringe! Fringe has made its way back into fashion in a big and exciting way. We have seen fringe over the years make its mark on western wear and casual wear, everything from boots, jackets and purses, but now it is taking on a new life of its own with pieces that truly make it a fashion statement.

There are so many ways to add fringe to your style without overstating it. The trick to fringing is to focus on one piece to keep it simple and classy, and treating it as an accessory to what you are wearing.

For some great examples to incorporate fringe for that effortless and chic statement, head over to see my full post on Remington Ready!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

So, I intended to get this post out yesterday, but a fluke accident resulted in me losing all but 4 photos on my camera, after my iPhoto failed to open. Long story short, after a freak out session and a trip to the Apple Store that included having to rebuild my entire iPhoto, I was able to salvage a few of my pics for today's post (not my first choices, oh well!) The show must go on, right?! What have been some of your #fashionbloggerproblems?

My style is forever evolving, one day to the next. I can plan an outfit out the night before, wake up and not be feeling it. I dress how I'm feeling for the day, whether is super girly, laid back and relaxed, perhaps a little bold and edgy or like today, a nostalgic 90's Rihanna inspired vibe with a cool denim jacket wrapped around my waist and a crop top. I just love experimenting and keeping my looks fresh and fun.

I hope everyone's week is going well thus far!

Florals, stripes and everything nice! When it comes to mixing patterns, I am a huge fan! (If you haven't noticed, herehere and here) I treat stripes like a neutral, therefor I feel they can be paired with anything. It's just a fresh and fashion forward take that can give some great results. With my outfit eye catching as it is (how gorgeous is this skirt? Highly recommend!), it was crucial to keep the rest of my look simple. I kept my accessories to a minimal and choose a plain black ankle strap heel for it's amazing leg lengthening effect and easy appeal.

I'm so excited to be guest blogging over at Remington Ready today! I'm sharing four different looks all incorporating one major fall trend! Check it out here

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! Thanks for stopping by!

Printed Dress: Forever21 (I went up a size!) | Grey Cutout Bootie: BCBGeneration | Clutch: Loft (old) similar style here

A few weeks ago, I popped into Forever21 just to browse and stumbled upon this blue and grey patterned dress. It's a great little dress, perfect for summer festivities and can easily transfer into the fall with the pairing of a denim jacket. To accentuate the grey tones though out the dress, I paired my new favorite grey booties from BCBGeneration which are insanely comfortable, given their fairly high heel. I love how these booties gave this dress that casual touch, while a slick pony tail gave my look a dash of minimalism.

Have a great day, loves!
