After a long week of having cabin fever, this past weekend my husband and I took the kids for a car ride to one of the places we used to visit when we were dating, Apple Pie Hill.  It is located in the Pine Barrens where it is rumored the Jersey Devil resides. The Pine Barrens offers beautiful driving and walking trails and is just so peaceful to be surrounded by so much nature. It was a perfect day to take advantage of dressing down with a basic outdoorsy style .. or my version of it at least. (Let's face it i'm not really into hiking unless I can do it in style.)

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. It's such a great place to escape to! Only about a 35 minute drive from where we live and I honestly love being able to disconnect from the rest of the world for a while ;)

  2. LOL @ "let's face it, I'm not really into hiking unless I can do it in style." DITTO!! If it requires ugly hiking gear it's not happening. And now you are making me want a leopard print hat...after I already bought a black one because of you! :) -Gina

    1. Seriously- when my husband and I first started dating, he took me there quite frequently and I was like really? Now I think I love going more then he does, even if it requires changing the way I normally dress lol! Get the hat!! I'll take the blame! xo
