Sweater + Leather Mini

Sweater: H&M (old) similar here , here and here | Skirt: asos | Boots: Unisa via DSW | Bag: J.Crew

Happy Halloween! I am so excited to take the kids out trick or treating tonight! My son is being spider-man and my daughter is being cinderella! I will try and post pictures tomorrow! I honestly love Halloween though. I think I love it more now that I have kids. I just love seeing them all dressed up and getting excited to go out.

Today's outfit is pretty simple. I was dying to find a leather skirt at a reasonable price and came across this one from asos. I wanted to make this look as casual as possible. I choose to go with a chunky knit sweater, paired with my favorite flat ankle boots to achieve the look I was after.. effortless yet chic.

Have a safe and fun Halloween!

Hi everyone! Today's outfit was purchased during Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale back in July. It's no secret that leather is huge this season so when I saw these faux leather track pants featured in the catalog, I just knew that they would be a great addition to my fall wardrobe. Pairing this bomber jacket with sweatshirt sleeves maintained the casualness of this look. I just always like to add unexpected pieces to my closet. I like to take risks and while my husband isn't too fond of this look, I just love it. I love how a pair of ankle strap heels can turn this normally sporty pant into something a little bit chicer. I have worn these pants with a pair of flats and a sweater so they are very versatile, not to mention extremely comfortable.  What do you think? Will you be adding leather track pants to your shopping list?

When Fashion Meets Philanthropy

I was recently introduced to Angela & Roi, an online handbag brand that combines fashion and philanthropy by color. With each sale they will donate five dollars to a non-profit health organization that corresponds with the color handbag you choose, such as pink for breast cancer awareness.  An Angela & Roi signature ribbon hangs from the bag to also help increase awareness for the specific cause. All bags are made from the highest quality vegan leather, thus not harming any animals. The company was founded by Angela and Roi and named after the couple because they feel that their relationship is the most important part of their lives. The company prides itself on strong moral principals and they focus on customer satisfaction, not profit margins. Angela and Roi give back to the community by sharing support for 11 non-profit organizations to bring awareness for prevalent health issues, from lung cancer to diabetes.

What better way than to show your support for a specific health issue by giving back with the purchase of a great bag that will give you your own sense of humanitarianism.

My weekend

Jacket: H&M (last year) Similar here , here and here | Blouse: H&M | Jeans: Guess | Boots: Chinese Laundry via DSW | Purse: J.Crew (sold out) Similar here

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine went by way to fast! Friday night I met up with my mom and we took the kids out for some pizza. They love spending time with grandmom! Saturday, I got some well deserved alone time and met a good friend of mine for some girl talk and did a little bit of shopping. That night my husband and I took the kids to a Halloween parade which really got them in the spirit of Halloween! We wrapped up our weekend by running errands, having an early dinner and painting pumpkins!

The outfit in today's post is what I wore out on Saturday while shopping with a girlfriend of mine. My husband and I went out to take pictures beforehand and it was so windy!! We literally had to stop a million times so I could brush my hair. Thin hair plus wind don't go well together at all! Knot city! Basically we shot what we could and after I got home we did a couple more once the wind died down. They came out dark but it was only about 5:30! I promise I don't wear sunglasses at night lol!

How was your weekend spent?

Tout Va Bien

Sweater: Ten Sixty Sherman via Nordstrom | Jeans: Edyson (on sale!) via Nordstrom | Boots: Unisa via DSW | Hat: Target | Bag: J.Crew (sold out) but loving this one!

Today's look is a simple but cozy one, that I wore while running errands this week. I love the saying on this sweater "Tout Va Bien" which means everything is going well. My son started kindergarten this year and is doing great! With him being in school all day, it has given me some new found time to start doing something that I've always wanted to do which was starting my own blog. I've always loved fashion, and was never afraid of trying something new. This blog has helped me get back a piece of myself that I felt was kind of missing. After getting married and having two kids, there was barely any time left for me to do something that I loved. By doing this blog, I am able to write about what I am passionate about and show case my favorite day-time looks.

I just want to thank everyone who comes and visits my blog. Your kind words are what really motivates me to continue doing what I love.

Black And White + Knee High Boots

Dress: Zara last seen here | Leggings: Loft | Boots: Chinese Laundry via DSW | Bag: J.Crew (sold out) similar here

Black and white is one of the most chicest trends. It's also the most versatile. I found this dress at Zara a couple months ago and it's one of my favorites. I love finding pieces to add to my closet that I know I can create many looks from. Back in september I wore this dress with a pair of black high heel booties, so when I purchased these amazing Chinese Laundry knee high boots I knew that they would be a great pop of color to add to this dress. Speaking of these boots, Knee high boots are very on trend this season. With or without a heel you are seeing them everywhere. I went searching for weeks to find that perfect pair that met all of my needs. I wanted functionality and finding a flat pair was most important because I knew I would get much more use out of them than a heel version. I also didn't want to invest too much. With most in the couple hundred dollar range (Drooling over the Stuart Weitzman's 5050 boots!) These ended up being perfect and coming in under a 100 dollars I was one happy shopper!

What is that one item in your closet that you love to create many looks from?

Kimono Trend

Kimono: H&M | Top: Frenchi | Jeans: STS Blue | Bag: J.Crew (sold out) similar here | Boots: Tommy Hilfiger (on sale!) via DSW

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I was away to watch my sister compete in the Miss New Jersey USA Pageant. It was her very first pageant so it was a very exciting weekend for us all. She did not place but did an amazing job and was absolutely breathtaking. To see her confidence shine on stage was amazing and I could not be more proud of her. It was such a great experience and she plans on trying again next year!

Now on to the outfit! I am LOVING this kimono! I recently found it while browsing at H&M. Very on trend and such a great piece to add to your closet. I love the pattern and it just adds a fun element over a basic tee. I chose to wear these great wine colored Tommy Hilfiger booties that I found at DSW to add some more color to this look.

A Few Of My Favorite Things

1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6

1. I'm sure you have seen this bag a million times but I just love it. It's a bit pricey but the craftsmanship is impeccable! It's functional and it's a great every day bag. I have the medium size and I can fit all my necessary items in it as well sippy cups and toys!

2. I found these ankle boots at DSW a couple weeks ago and they are a great basic black boot. They're extremely comfortable and the price is amazing!

3. Another great DSW purchase! Knee high boots are extremely popular and very on trend this season. Most are very expensive, but with using a coupon I got these for only $75! Staying in trend and not spending much is always a plus in my book!

4. This Mario Badescu drying lotion is a must have for any woman trying to get rid of that pesky blemish that pops up time to time. Use a q-tip and apply to your problem area before bed and over night your blemish is practically gone. It's magic in a bottle!

5. I love Chanel's lipgloss! My favorite is #367 Intrique! It's a great every day color and its not super sticky which is a plus!

6. Poncho's never seem to go out of style during the colder months. This one from Old Navy is a great basic to have in your closet! A simple layering  piece to keep you warm on those chillier days! Wear it with a pair of dark jeans and some black boots and you'll have yourself a casually chic daytime ensemble!

Have a great weekend!

Jewel Tones

Dress: Loft | Boots: Dolce Vita (old) similar here | Cross body: Target | Bracelet: David Yurman

The Loft is one of my favorite stores and I'm lucky enough to have one in my own hometown.  Last weekend they had a 50% sale off the entire store so I could not resist my shopping urge for a new fall outfit.  I was immediately drawn to this soft cotton classic shirt dress with it's flattering drawstring waist. I just love to pair boots with dresses, and this dress was perfect to do so. I can't deny how excited I got when I realized that this cross body I recently purchased at Target matched perfectly. It was a match made in closet heaven!

Did anyone make their way over to the Loft last week? What did you snag?

Hats Off To Fall

Top: H&M | Jeans: Zara (old) similar here | Boots: Wanted via Tj Maxx | Clutch: Hello Fab | Hat: Target | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Nadri via Nordstom

Fall is by far my favorite season! I just love the cooler weather, the tasty pumpkin treats, fall decor, and most importantly the great clothes and accessories. I have always been a lover of hats. Partly because of the easiness it brings to getting dressed in the morning. Its a simple fix to save time in the morning if you're in a rush, as well as hide those dreaded bad hair days!  I will tell you this, I'm not the type of girl to throw on a baseball cap and some sweats. My own personal rule is that if I'm going to be wearing some kind of hat, the rest of my outfit has to look polished and put together but still remain simple. My look today is probably one of my favorites. I found this hat at Target and just loved the color. It's the perfect pop of color for fall and I love how easy it was to give a regular jean and blouse look that extra oomph it needed. I finished my look with a sequin clutch and a pair of black suede booties with a glitter back that I found at T.J. Maxx for someday time fun!
